The support we receive from Trusts and Foundations is immeasurable and our recent grant from The Kennel Club Charitable Trust really does provide a lifeline for animals in our care.
The Kennel Club Charitable Trust works with dog charities throughout the UK giving them a unique understanding of how best to deliver projects that benefit both dogs and their two-legged companions. From investing in ground-breaking canine science and research, to funding medical and support dog training programmes and life-saving dog welfare projects, their goal remains the same; to bring cutting-edge technology, compassion and kindness to the space where dogs and people meet.
The lion’s share of the generous grant from The Kennel Club Charitable Trust has come from the Chelsea & Mr French Fund.
So often, our dogs play an irreplaceable role in our lives. As best friends, walking buddies and loyal companions, their unique personalities brighten our days and enrich our experiences. That’s why it’s so hard to cope when life throws us challenges that threaten to separate us from the four-legged friends we cherish.
The aim of the Chelsea & Mr French Welfare Fund is to provide urgent, life-changing support for vulnerable dogs and their owners at exactly these kinds of moments.
Speaking about the grant awarded to Refuge4Pets Ms Lisa Seymour, Fund Donor for the Chelsea & Mr French Fund said: “I had no hesitation in supporting Refuge4Pets over the last year, who deliver vital work, day in day out. The services offered by Mary and her team to vulnerable people and their dogs are exactly why I established the Chelsea & Mr French Fund with the Kennel Club Charitable Trust.”
Mary Wakeham said: ‘We are so grateful for the support we have received from The Kennel Club Charitable Trust and from the Chelsea & Mr French Fund. Every penny of their generous grant makes a difference and means we can continue our work helping victim-survivors of domestic abuse to escape with their much-loved animals.’
