This January, one of our remarkable foster carers, Mike, is taking on the incredible challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, to raise funds for Refuge4Pets.
Mike and his partner Tamlyn foster cats for us, and in Mike’s words:
“The joy they’ve brought us, combined with knowing we’re helping people in really difficult situations, has been so heartwarming.”
Inspired by how rewarding fostering has been, Mike wanted to do even more, and what better way than by taking on one of the world’s most awe-inspiring adventures?
Climbing Kilimanjaro is no small feat: it’s a true test of endurance, strength, and spirit. But Mike is determined to reach the summit and use every step to make a difference for people and animals escaping domestic abuse.
“I had been looking for something to challenge myself and decided that it would be an amazing opportunity to help support a great charity with their incredible work.”
We’re in awe of Mike’s determination, and we hope you’ll join us in cheering him on!
If you would like to support Mike with a donation, you can do so via his Justgiving page.
