We are so proud and completely blown away to win a Special Recognition in the People’s Pet Awards 2022. It is such an honour to receive this recognition for the work we do helping people and their animals escape domestic abuse.
In September, Mary Wakeham was presented with the award at a ceremony at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
Nicky Campbell, TV, radio presenter and judge said: “The winners’ stories fill you with hope. Whether inspirational animals, charity workers or lifelong campaigners, they all make you realise the wonderful bond between people and animals.”
Mary said: “I have accepted this award on behalf of our volunteers. We couldn’t provide the service we do without them, and we are so grateful.”
