Leave a Legacy to Refuge4Pets
Leaving a legacy in your Will is a wonderful way to show you care and would like to help Refuge4Pets, after you have gone. Please consider leaving Refuge4Pets a lasting gift in your will.
It doesn’t have to be a large sum to make a difference. We are a small charity and even a small legacy means we’ll be able to help more people and their pets to escape from domestic violence and abuse.
If you wish to leave a legacy to Refuge4Pets, you first have to decide the type of legacy you wish to leave.
This can be a specific legacy, a pecuniary legacy or a residuary bequest:
- A specific legacy consists of a specific item of personal property
- A pecuniary legacy consists of a specified sum of money
- A residuary bequest is the residue of your estate (or a share of the residue) after your debts have been settled and any legacies you leave to other people have been paid
A residuary bequest is generally of the greatest benefit to our charity as its value increases in line with inflation but please choose whichever option suits your own personal circumstances. We will be honoured to receive this incredible gift.
Please speak to your solicitor about leaving Refuge4Pets a legacy in your Will. If you have already made your will, a bequest to our charity may be added to it by way of a Codicil.
Once you have this set up in your Will, it would be lovely if you could contact us to let us know so that we can keep a record of this in our files. You will also receive a personal thank you from our Founder, Mary Wakeham.
